The Grants Manager plays a crucial role in the life cycle of EYFC’s programs by ensuring proper due diligence for all grants and partner contracts across the EYFC.

We are seeking an experienced development professional with a proven track record of successfully managing all aspects of organization’s contract portfolio.

The Grants Manager will manage existing funders and identify additional funding sources to support, expand, and develop new programming in alignment with EYFC’s vision of the leadership team.

The Manager will be engaged in proposal development and writing, responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, planning for, monitoring, and tracking all EYFC funding agreements for compliance and fulfillment of grant deliverables.


● Study and understand the history, structure, mission, objectives, programs, and financial needs of the organization.

● Attend all bidder’s meetings for potential grant opportunities to ensure grants.

● Establish priorities and calendar for information gathering, and supports work/action plans for proposals, including objectives, deliverables, activities, responsibilities, and timelines.

● Support the grants team to ensure all supporting documents are up to date, signatures secured, and all elements of proposals to public donors are collated and formatted according to request guidelines

● Support the grants team and program staff to perform due diligence and secure partnership agreements in accordance with EYFC’s procedures.

● Maintain and ensure grants management procedures are in place and followed, including but not limited to due diligence procedures, award letters, grant agreements, partner contracts, and procedures to ensure the availability of funds.

● Reviewing, negotiating, planning, managing and tracking all EYFC contracts.

● Communicate with finance, fund and business development staff on all new contracts, grants, amendments, and sub-grants; and ensure all multi-year grants are tracked appropriately.

● Support program leads to coordinate with finance on expense allocations to ensure invoicing and reporting requirements are met.

● Maintenance of accurate and detailed electronic contract and grant files for each funded program with consistent documentation standards.

● Maintain and keep up-to-date proposals and grants.


●Experience preparing and reviewing contracts and legal documents for completeness, accuracy, compliance with funder requirements and procedures.

● Exceptionally organized, strong attention to detail, excellent research, and program development skills.

● Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and timelines.

● Ability to work independently while working with different teams.

● Excellent people skills, mainly communications and interpersonal relationships.

● Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse community and in teams.

● Excellent written and verbal skills.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, cloud-based apps and project management.

● Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

●Minimum of 3 years in contract management and nonprofit/business administration experience preferred.

● Undergraduate Degree/certificate in nonprofit management, business administration, finance, or a related field.

● Familiar with federal and local government contracts.
